Heavy rains and thunderstorms hit Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana on Saturday, providing relief from the hot weather. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a warning for light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in certain districts.
The IMD bulletin advised people to be cautious as minor damage to structures could occur. Residents were urged to monitor the weather and be prepared to move to safer locations if necessary. The rain started on Friday evening and intensified on Saturday, affecting areas like Rajendranagar, Saroornagar, Uppal, and Gachibowli.

The downpour caused difficulties for commuters and students as they were stranded due to the heavy rain. The sudden change in weather brought relief from the scorching heat, with temperatures reaching 44 degrees Celsius in some places on Friday. The IMD had issued a heat wave alert, prompting the health department to issue guidelines for heat wave protection.
