Having been left out of the squad by Chelsea and the England national team, Raheem Sterling has said he is delighted to be joining Arsenal.

London and its strong presence in the English championships (Premier League and Championship) represents a practical advantage during transfer periods, in particular to avoid changing place of residence. This is obviously not what fully motivated Raheem Sterling to leave Chelsea, one of the many clubs in the English capital, for another, Arsenal.

The 29-year-old winger, loaned for a season by the Blues, considers the Gunners as the ideal place to relaunch himself, he who has not been selected for the next matches of the Three Lions.

This is a perfect project for me, I’m super happy that we managed to make it happen “, Raheem Sterling was quoted as saying by Irish Independent.

Tottenham entry considered

The former Liverpool and Manchester City striker knew Mikel Arteta, the current Arsenal manager, at the Cityzens when the Spaniard was Pep Guardiola’s assistant. After the annoying draw conceded on Saturday at

home against Brighton (1-13rd day of the Premier League), Arteta could start Sterling in the next Championship match, next Sunday on the Tottenham ground for one of the famous London derbies.
