FC Metz overthrew RC Lens on Friday evening, thanks to a double from Georges Mikautaze (2-1, 29th). A crucial result in the race to maintain.
We couldn't miss the first period this Friday evening at the Saint-Symphorien stadium. Over the course of forty-five exciting minutes, FC Metz and Racing Club de Lens offered a very indecisive first part of the match scenario, punctuated by three goals. The only ones in the game. This success is therefore a great encouragement for FC Metz which remains seventeenth, but temporarily returns to two points behind Nantes (15th), last non-relegation. For Lens, the complicated end of the season continues and the fear of missing out on Europe next season is growing. Brice Samba's partners here have a fourth match in a row without success in Ligue 1 (three defeats and a draw) and are now within reach of Stade de Reims which travels to Strasbourg this Saturday.
