Suniel Shetty Calls Hera Pheri 3 ‘Extraordinary Script’; Praises Priyadarshan And Expects Comedy Film To Be ‘Blockbuster’

Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty starrer Phir Hera Pheri 3 is among the highly-awaited sequels of Bollywood. The Hera Pheri series, which began in 2000, has achieved iconic status in India, with its unforgettable characters, lines, and timeless humour. As fans await the franchise, Suniel Shetty has spilled beans about Hera Pheri 3 script and assured it will be extraordinary and blockbuster.

In an interview with Times Of India, the actor said, “I think Priyadarshan sir is the original and the only one who can make Hera Pheri 3. I am super excited about that. He is someone who knows comedy like the back of his palm. He is great script writer, and he is writing himself again. He’s got an extraordinary script,” he said. When asked what fans can expect from the film, Suniel confidently replied, “Blockbuster.”

The excitement for sequel is high as Priyadarshan himself confirmed it being in work on Akshay Kumar’s birthday. The trio were even spotted at the airport which piqued the interest even more. According to a report by Pinkvilla, sources familiar with the project revealed that the actors are set to begin filming the first schedule of Hera Pheri 3 in December 2025.

Suniel was recently seen in Ibrahim Ali Khan’s debut flick Nadaaniya. The movie also stars Khushi Kapoor. Suniel plays Khushi’s father in the movie directed by Shauna Gautam. The film also stars Mahima Chaudhry, Jugal Hansraj, and Dia Mirza in supporting roles. Shetty will next be seen in Welcome To The Jungle, starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Aftab Shivdasani, Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Disha Patani in the lead roles. The film, directed by Ahmed Khan, is set to hit the big screen later this year.
