Those are often the ones that take place on the bigger stages in front of even larger crowds. Some of the matches that headline those bigger shows are strong enough to warrant a rematch, and now we might have an idea of where that is going.

Last month at Summerslam, Cody Rhodes defeated Solo Sikoa to retain the WWE Championship in the show’s main event, albeit with an assist from the returning Roman Reigns. Sikoa has said that he wants another shot at the title and Rhodes is scheduled to confront him this week on SmackDown. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the expected rematch between the two is not planned for Bad Blood in Rhodes’ hometown of Atlanta. Instead, Meltzer speculated that the match could take place on the September 13 SmackDown when the show moves back to USA. This is NOT confirmed though.

Opinion: It wouldn’t surprise me to see this kind of a major match taking place on the USA premiere show as it is one of the biggest matches that WWE can present. Getting to see the Summerslam main event on free television is a great way to go and would get the new SmackDown era off to a hot start. Now if they can make the match go well, everything should go fine.
