There’s plenty of football action around the globe to look forward to on Friday, including two AFCON quarter finals and top flight matches in Spain, Italy, Germany and France.
As well as those fixtures, there’s also a key game in the battle to reach the Premier League, with promotion hopefuls Leeds United on the road at Bristol City.
Bet of the day
DR Congo to qualify @ 4/6
The second Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final between DR Congo and Guinea, kicks off at 20:00 UK time on Friday evening.
It sees two surprise packages battle it out for a place in the semi-finals and DR Congo – who haven’t lifted the trophy since 1968 when they played as Congo-Kinshasa - look to have the edge.
Having drawn all three group games, Sebastien Desabre’s side beat Egypt on penalties in the last-16 stage and they are seeking a fifth straight win over Friday’s opponents.
Guinea qualified for the knockout stages despite losing their final group game 2-0 to Senegal and then needed a stoppage-time winner to see off 10-man Equatorial Guinea last time out.
If their previous tournament matches are anything to go by, then don’t expect many goals but, with Brentford’s Yoane Wissa playing a key role, DR Congo should progress from a tight tussle.

Special of the day
Bristol City v Leeds United - Bet Builder: Leeds to win / BTTS / Over 10.5 corners @ 21/4
With a two-point gap to second-placed Ipswich and having played a game more, Leeds will know that a win on Friday could be crucial to put pressure on their rivals, who are all playing on Saturday.
The omens look good for Daniel Farke’s men, with Leeds winning on their last three visits to Ashton Gate and having won 2-1 in the reverse fixture at Elland Road in October.
The Yorkshire club are unbeaten in their last six in all competitions and face a Robins team who have only won one of their last eight – that victory came against West Ham in the FA Cup.
Leeds are averaging 11.71 corners per Championship match on the road, while Bristol City have a home corner average of 11.79 per game.
Long shot of the day
Athletic Bilbao v Mallorca – Inaki Williams 2+ Goals @ 7/1
Athletic Bilbao have moved up to fifth in the La Liga table and head into Friday’s clash with Mallorca looking for a seventh straight win at the San Mames.
Ernesto Valverde’s men are unbeaten in 12 of their 13 home matches this season in all competitions, with the lone defeat coming against Real Madrid back in August.
Bilbao have scored 33 goals during that run of games, including four in their Copa del Rey win over Barcelona last week.
Inaki Williams returned from AFCON duty on the day of the game and went straight back into the squad – scoring a goal in extra time.
The Ghana forward, who has scored twice against Mallorca in the last five meetings, has eight goals for the season and will feel he can add to that tally on Friday.
