The weekend’s football action has a number of mouthwatering fixtures on offer, headlined by Chelsea’s trip to Manchester City in the Premier League.

All but two of the 72 EFL teams are also in action on Saturday and, as we enter the final third of the season, all signs are pointing to an enthralling weekend.

Bet of the day

Leeds United to win and over 4.5 goals @ 31/10

Two of the Championship's most entertaining teams will meet for the fourth time this season when Plymouth host Leeds at Home Park.

Only two EFL sides have seen more goals in their games this season than Plymouth’s 103, and each of the Pilgrims’ last seven home games have featured at least four goals.

One of those results was a 4-1 defeat to Leeds in the FA Cup and the Whites should be backed to claim another victory over the Devon side as they continue their push for promotion.

Daniel Farke’s men are yet to lose in 2024, winning nine of their 10 games. With Ipswich and Southampton hot on their heels in the race for second place, they will know that they cannot afford to slip up.

Special of the day

Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City all to win @ 6/4

The top three in the Premier League all play at different times on Saturday, but all should be expected to pick up three points in what looks to be a captivating title race.

Leaders Liverpool are in action in the lunchtime game when they travel to London to face Thomas Frank’s Brentford, who are flirting with the relegation zone.

Arsenal have the easiest fixture on paper as they visit 19th-placed Burnley, who have not beaten the Gunners at Turf Moor in any competition since 2008.

Reigning champions Manchester City, who are two points behind the Reds with a game in hand, have the trickiest task in the late kick-off when they host Chelsea, but Pep Guardiola should feel confident about extending his side's winning run to 12 games, given Chelsea’s inconsistency this season.

Long shot of the day

Wolves to win at Tottenham @ 9/2

Spurs have been a joy to watch under Ange Postecoglou this season but they could potentially come unstuck when they host Wolves on Saturday.

Gary O’Neil’s men have flown up the table since an awkward start to the season and are now just two points away from a top-half position.

Spurs have won their last five games at home but prior to that they had lost three straight games there. Wolves could capitalise given that they are unbeaten on the road in their last five matches in all competitions, including a famous 4-2 victory at Stamford Bridge in their last away game.

A tight encounter is expected on Saturday and it could go down to the wire with another shock Wolves win in London a real possibility.
