Three Premier League matches top the bill on Wednesday, including Chelsea’s visit to Liverpool, while there is also action in the Championship and La Liga which present some decent betting opportunities.
We have picked out a number of bets to look out for from across the night's action, starting with what should be another entertaining game at Tottenham when they host Brentford.
Bet of the day
Tottenham to beat Brentford and both teams to score @ 9/5
Tottenham’s realistic hopes of landing a trophy in Ange Postecoglou’s first season were ended by Manchester City in the FA Cup on Friday, but they should be confident they can claim a win over Brentford.
Postecoglou is boosted by the return of central defenders Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, as well as influential midfielders Rodrigo Bentancur and James Maddison, which means his team is a lot stronger than it was when they lost three successive home games a couple of months ago.
Richarlison has scored six goals in his last six league games which has offset Heung-Min Son’s absence at the Asian Cup so they should see off the Bees, who have lost their last four on the road.
Ivan Toney’s return from a lengthy suspension has given Brentford a boost and they won at Spurs last season so should take a positive approach. They can be expected to score but look set to leave north London without a point.

Special of the day
Watford, Barcelona & Atletico Madrid all to win @ 39/10
The one Championship game of the evening combined with Wednesday’s two La Liga matches present a good treble opportunity.
Watford were unfortunate to concede a late goal to in-form Southampton in the FA Cup on Sunday and they should bounce back from that with a win at Championship strugglers Sheffield Wednesday.
The Hornets have won four and drawn two of their last six away league games, and have lost once in their last nine so the relegation-threatened Owls could find themselves up against it.
Barcelona boss Xavi shocked the club by announcing he would be leaving at the end of the season following Saturday’s 5-3 home defeat to Villarreal that left them 11 points adrift in the La Liga title race.
However, they should still have too much for mid-table Osasuna, who have taken just two points from their last six away games.
Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, have dropped just two points in their last 20 home league games and look too strong for Rayo Vallecano, who have failed to score in four of their last five on the road.
Long shot of the day
Darwin Nunez first goalscorer in Liverpool v Chelsea @ 7/1
Liverpool striker Darwiin Nunez is finally starting to settle at Anfield and it is worth chancing that he can score the first goal when the Reds entertain Chelsea in a Carabao Cup final dress rehearsal.
The Uruguayan striker has scored 11 goals in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s side and it has been noticeable that he has been more positive in recent weeks with a total of 14 shots on target in the last six games.
His confidence is evidently growing and he can set the ball rolling against a Blues defence who have conceded 12 goals in their last five Premier League away games.
