There is tension in Oluwole Ogba and Aguda axis after an unidentified Hausa bike man popularly known as Okada ride allegedly stabbed one person to death.
It is unclear what led to the incident but it was gathered that the unfortunate incident occurred on Thursday night.
According to eyewitnesses, the conflict escalated when some Oluwole boys stormed Oke Ira area in Ogba in search of the Okada riders, who are mostly northerners.
However, police officers from the ‘Area G’ command in conjunction Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have beefed up the areas to curb any clash between Hausa Okada riders and Yoruba residents in Ogba.
Some Okada riders from the North who normally plied that route are currently fleeing for their lives to avoid being lynched by the mob or escape from police arrest.
According to PM News, reporters who visited the ‘Area G’ command were not allowed in or given any update on the situation on ground.
Roads leading to Excellence Roundabout, Ogba Market and WAEC have been blocked with vans of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) unit of the police.
