While wrestling is certainly pre-determined, it featured some world class athletes doing some incredible things in the ring. That can open up some loopholes in the debate about what it is, but now one of the most powerful people in wrestling is offering a unique take on what professional wrestling, or at least WWE, actually is.

WWE CCO Triple H was a guest on the Pat McAfee Show this week and discussed how WWE was classified. Triple H said that while WWE is not a sport, but rather a movie or TV show about a sport. He went on to say that fans can get into WWE for a variety of reasons, ranging from what they see in the ring to wondering about the drama either in front of or behind the scenes. This might include rumors about a wrestler having issues with management or their contract status or something similar. Triple H also played up how easily accessible wrestling is, with clips being readily available.

Opinion: This is one of those things that you do not see very often and it is rather interesting to see one of the higher ups give their take on a tricky question. I can see what Triple H is saying too, as WWE is not exactly a sport but it has all kinds of athletes and athleticism involved. Some people are always going to see it one way or another but this is at least an interesting take on the situation.
