The Black Phone is returning for a sequel! The Blumhouse horror film premiered in 2022 and a second movie is currently in the works. Director and co-writer Scott Derrickson will return to pen the sequel alongside C. Robert Cargill, who co-wrote the first one. In the first movie, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy, Finney Shaw, is abducted by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use. When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer’s previous victims.
