The huge sacrifice Mbappé must make to sign for Real

If he wants to commit to Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappé must resolve to lower his claims.

Now that he has announced his departure from PSG at the end of the season, Kylian Mbappé has the way clear to join Real Madrid. This is the destination to which everything predestined him. The marriage has a strong chance of materializing, but it will not happen without some concessions from the French star.

Mbappé will notably have to drastically reduce his salary. While he receives 72 million euros per year at PSG at the moment, the former Monegasque will only be able to receive 30 if he takes charge of Madrid. Or half of his emoluments. This is what Le Parisien reports.

Mbappé will be the highest paid at Real

Despite this reduction, Mbappé will still be the highest paid player at Real. At the moment, Toni Kroos is at the top of this ranking with €24 million annually, followed by David Alaba (€22.5 million) and Luka Modric (€22 million).

The international tricolor is inclined to make this sacrifice. And that would not be the only one he is willing to provide for this transfer to come to fruition. L’Equipe revealed mid-week that he is also ready to pay part of his signing bonus to Paris to help him recover financially from his departure.
