Off to Washington? Wrestlers are in a weird place when it comes to being seen as celebrities. While they are famous for something, they are often only famous for that one thing and rarely get outside of the wrestling bubble. However, with wrestling becoming a bit more mainstream again, wrestlers now have more of a chance to get some extra attention. That will be the case soon at a rather prestigious location.

During a new interview with the New York Post, WWE’s Becky Lynch revealed that she has been invited to the White House. Lynch is being invited for the St. Patrick’s Day festivities on March 17, which will be seen as a celebration of all things Irish. Lynch was raised in Ireland and has referenced growing up there several times in WWE. She is scheduled to challenge Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s World Title at WrestleMania 40.

Opinion: Well that’s certainly an honor. There is something rather impressive about Lynch not only being chosen as such a big deal but getting to represent WWE at the same time. Lynch is still one of the biggest names in WWE and it is awesome to see her getting to do something like this. If nothing else, it is very cool to see WWE getting this kind of attention, which has not been the case in years past.
