The new tribute from Marseillais to Gattuso

If the Jean-Louis Gasset effect seems to be felt, a new Marseille player paid tribute to Gennaro Gattuso after OM’s victory against Montpellier (4-1).

Olympique de Marseille showed a conquering face on Sunday against Montpellier. As against Shakhtar Donetsk, the Ciel et Blanc conceded the opener, finding themselves trailing after only a few minutes of play. But OM quickly reversed the situation to finally win 4-1.

This second victory in two matches after seven games without a victory obviously bears the mark of Jean-Louis Gasset, called to the rescue at the start of the week after the departure of Gennaro Gattuso. However, like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang a few days earlier, Lucas Balerdi wanted to pay tribute to the Italian technician.

“What Gasset brought us? I think it gave us peace of mind. But this victory and that of Thursday, it is also thanks to Gattuso who gave us a lot of things. So it’s thanks to Gattuso and Gasset,” he confided to the microphone of Prime Video.
