WWE booked a couple massive matches during their Netflix debut that were discussed for WrestleMania 41. WWE RAW made its Netflix debut on January 6 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, and that included a massive contest that will help shape the future of the Bloodline.
The Bloodline Saga is still going, and it hit a crucial moment with Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa’s Tribal Combat match during this week’s WWE RAW. The Ula Fala was on the line, as the true title of Tribal Chief went to the winner.
This fantastic match was how WWE decided to kick off their Netflix debut. This came right after Triple H introduced the episode and The Rock cut a rousing promo for fans with his explosive return. Alicia Taylor also gave this contest a big match feel as she introduced the competitors under Tribal Combat rules, of course, Paul Heyman had to introduce The OTC.
Solo Sikoa took control early on in this match, as he took the action to ringside. All the while, Solo garnered a ton of heat from fans in the arena. Throughout the match, Paul Heyman clutched the Ula Falla, as it was his duty to crown the new Tribal Chief at the end of the contest.
They got plenty of weapons involved, including a table that Solo took a Last Ride powerbomb though. Thankfully for him, Tanga Loa broke up that pinfall attempt. Then Jacob Fatu jumped in the ring and took out Roman with a DDT, which was followed by a moonsault. Solo nailed a Samoan Spike after that, but Reigns kicked out. Chad Patton, the match’s referee, took a Samoan Spike after that. Then Sami Zayn and Jimmy Uso ran down to help Roman Reigns out.
Suddenly, Kevin Owens jumped in the ring and nailed a stunner on Roman Reigns as he was gearing up for another spear, but he only got a two count. Owens continued his beatdown on Reigns, but Cody Rhodes came out to run him off.
After Solo Sikoa took a Helluva Kick from Zayn Reigns nailed a spear. There was no referee to count, and when one got to the ring it was too late to count all the way to three.
In the end, the finish came when Roman Reigns ducked under a Samoan Spike, and he nailed a spear. Then Roman Reigns hit another spear and he won the match clear. This was quite a first match for RAW on Netflix. In the end, Roman Reigns was given the Ula Falla by Paul Heyman, but The Rock came out before that could happen.
The Rock got in the ring, and he took the Ula Fala from Paul Heyman. Then, in a very dramatic moment, Dwayne Johnson placed it around Roman Reigns’ neck, and they embraced in the middle of the ring.
We will have to see what happens next in this huge storyline. The Bloodline have been a focal point of WWE since they were in the ThunderDome during the pandemic, and there is no real sign that things are over at this point.
