The anticipation reached fever pitch at WWE World as fans eagerly awaited The Rock’s long-anticipated appearance, who waited for nearly two hours before The Final Boss made his grand entrance.
The Rock jovially addressed being late for the festivities, attributing it to his jam-packed schedule, which notably included watching Jalen Hurts’ playoff game. Despite the delay, fans erupted with excitement as The Rock finally graced WWE World with his presence.
However, rather than simply making a conventional appearance, The Rock seized the opportunity to entertain, by fully embracing his role as a maestro of the microphone and taking the fans back to a trip to nostalgia.
Taking center stage, The Rock leaned into his heel persona and bestowed his menacing antics on veteran WWE commentator, Michael Cole. Much like he used to do back in the 1990s during backstage segments with Cole, The Great One recreated some part of those comedic moments by putting a Final Boss shirt on top of Michael Cole’s head and covering his face in a joking manner to embarrass him. As the crowd roared in response to The Rock’s antics, anticipation continued to mount for his upcoming match at WrestleMania 40 for which he has underwent an intense training camp.
Teaming up with Roman Reigns, The Rock will battle the team of Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in the highly anticipated main event of Night 1 of the show, in what is billed to be one of the biggest tag team matches in the history of WWE.
