The Rock stirred up some serious controversy after he took Cody Rhodes’ spot at WrestleMania 40, with fans booing at the pro-wrestler for not letting Cody finish his story. However, things cooled down pretty quickly after the WrestleMania press conference last week.
In this week’s Friday night Smackdown, The Rock explicitly declared his alliance with The Bloodline. Ahead of the event, The Rock took to Instagram to share his excitement for the show and told fans to tune in for the match at 8 p.m. ET on Fox. He then proceeded shut down all questions about time zone conversion by telling fans not to waste his time with stupid questions.
“the show is going to be an incredible show. Completely sold out. Not a ticket left. Salt Lake City, get ready because this city won’t be the same after this. The people’s champion has come to town. 08:00 p.m. Eastern, live on Fox. That’ll flood my comments with stupid bullshit like, well, what time is it for me, rock? I live in Paducah, Kentucky. Well, I live in the midwest. Who gives a shit? You figure it out yourself. Don’t waste the rock’s time with stupid questions like that.”
The Rock’s segment promo segment on Friday Night SmackDown drew insane YouTube viewership with 1,751,331 views in in just 13 hours. The Rock’s return to WWE SmackDown not only added a new angle to the show but also proved that he’s still a dominant force in the wrestling world.
The Rock also engaged in an out-of-character interaction with fans after Friday Night SmackDown. Meanwhile, it remains to be seen how the storyline involving The Rock and The Bloodline will unfold as we move closer to WrestleMania 40. Stay tuned to Ringside News for more!
