The Young Bucks have a new mission.

During the January 17 AEW Dynamite, The Young Bucks sat down with Renee Paquette to discuss their current status. First, they requested to be addressed by their full names of Nicholas and Matthew as they are Executive Vice Presidents and are looking to take their titles more seriously.

They also referenced the rumors about them and emphasized that they would hypothetically do anything to protect what they built. Renee was then asked if she got her paycheck this week, to which they said, “You’re welcome.”

Regarding their return to confront Sting, Matthew reflected on the beginning of AEW and noted that it was out with the old and in with the new. He admits that the culture shifted somewhere along the way and toxicity creeped in and changed the company’s perception. They leaned too much on the “cancerous superstars” of yesterday.

Ultimately he doesn’t blame Sting as he thinks of him as a model employee, but it’s time to say goodbye to Sting and everyone like him. When Renee asked if that was an official call-out for Sting’s last match, they said as EVPs they would pull some strings.
