Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag says there is already a noticeable difference around the club with its newfound structure.

Dan Ashworth was installed as United’s first-ever sporting director last week, joining Jason Wilcox, our newly appointed technical director.

They will be joined by our new CEO Omar Berrada in the coming days.

Speaking to club media, Ten Hag said (via ManUtd.com): “We are so pleased. Around the football, around the first-team, we have a strong structure that will help us. They are so supportive. They will help us in scouting, recruitment. They will raise the bar.”

Ten Hag has a better support network at United than he had previously. One of the biggest benefits from that is being able to prepare for the new season.

United shouldn’t be rushing around the transfer market on deadline day looking for loan deals. They need to be proactive in the market and sign the right players.
