EXCLUSIVE: TikTok influencer Spencer Barbosa has begun production on docu-reality show Flawed.

The 6×10 series will shoot through summer 2024 on location in Ontario and air on Bell Fibe TV in Canada.

21 year-old Barbosa has earned 10 million followers thanks to her body positivity, female empowerment and relationship advice videos. The show will feature life coaching, celebrity guests and a ‘makeunder’ followed by a “vulnerable photoshoot” which aims to unbind individuals from the things they’ve been using to ‘hide behind’.

Flawed is produced by Toronto-based Makers. The show’s producers are Katie Lafferty, Jeni B and Sam Hall. It is produced with the participation of Bell and is being lined up for a fall 2024 release.

“Nobody is perfect and that’s what makes people special – we don’t all fit into one box,” said Barbosa. “I’m so excited to bring stories of body positivity so we can all see how perfectly imperfect we truly are.”

This is Barbosa’s second project in the TV world. At 12 years-old, she started her TV career as one of the hosts on Family Channelʼs We Are Savvy, a show where tweens show their interests, make DIYs and connect with people around the world.

“The content Spencer is creating online is exactly what the world needs right now. Dreaming up this show and having it become a reality is absolute magic,” said Jeni B. “The beauty of it is… it’s for everyone. We can all see ourselves in these stories and that’s what makes it really special.”

“I love how this series aims not only to have individuals accept their perceived flaws, but to really love and embrace them,” added Lafferty. “Spencer’s body positivity message is inspirational and we couldn’t be happier to amplify it to a whole new audience.”
