TNA Wrestling and WWE’s ongoing partnership has truly changed the game for both companies, leading to talent exchanges that fans never could have imagined before. In fact, it appears there is a good chance one particular TNA team could end up winning gold in WWE in the future.

While speaking on The Hump, Sean Ross Sapp talked about whether TNA or NXT might give a title to a wrestler from the other company. He believes The Rascalz have a good chance of winning the NXT Tag Team Titles.

Sapp noted Zachary Wentz was let go from NXT before because of problems with his ex, but those issues were later cleared up. WWE still liked him and was open to bringing him back. Now, with NXT and TNA working together, Sapp believes The Rascalz could absolutely win the NXT Tag Team Titles.

“Yes, I do. I think The Rascalz stand a very good chance. I had been told a year before, so Zachary Wentz got booted from NXT in conjunction with an issue with his ex, which was ineffectively proven wrong to the companies, there was some colorful things that had emerged throughout then as well. After that, I was told, “We like him here. The door’s open for him here” and pretty early into that they gave him the opportunity to come back as part of this NXT-TNA talent exchange. Now I think we can absolutely see them win the NXT Tag Team Titles.”

Last year, The Rascalz had earned an opportunity for the NXT Tag Team Titles but the match was pulled. Therefore, we will have to wait and see whether Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz will end up winning the NXT Tag Team Titles this year, as fans would love to see that happen.
