The following matches and segments are from the July 12th episode of TNA Xplosion.
The show opens with a tag team match, as the duo of Kelly Madan and Vicious Vicki take on Spitfire. Dani Luna and Jody Threat are set to challenge for the TNA Knockouts Tag Team titles at Slammiversary, so made easy work of their opponents in the opener.
It was a match that lasted just minutes, which ended when Spitfire hit a powerbomb/neckbreaker combination to pick up the victory.
This was followed by a “From The Vault” match, which showed Jeff Hardy vs AJ Styles from NWA TNA #100. This was a dream match that was spoiled by interference. Kid Kash and Lance Archer attacked both one, causing a disqualification finish. This ruined what was a good match so far.
They followed this with “Around The Ring” with Gia Miller. She was joined by Travis Williams, who is one half of the “Sinner and Saint” tag team. They discussed what’s on their Spotify, with Williams talking about his love for “Australian Surf Punk”.
“In Case You Missed It”.
This was followed by “In Case You Missed It” segment, as TNA Xplosion replayed the tag team match between Joe Hendry & Josh Alexander vs Moose and Steve Maclin. This happened on TNA Impact this week, and helped build to the main event of Slammiversary this weekend.
Despite his incredible momentum at the moment, Joe Hendry couldn’t inspire his team to victory. Interference from Frankie Kazarian distracted Josh Alexander at the end of the match. This left him open to a spear from Moose and a DDT from Maclin, who pinned Alexander for the victory.
This was followed by the main event of Xplosion. Sinner and Saint battled AJ Francis and Rich Swann, who are known as “Fir$t Cla$$”. This makes it one of the most star-studded matches on TNA Xplosion in recent weeks, which should inspire more fans to watch the show on YouTube.
It was a good match which made the most out of the huge size advantage AJ Francis had over his opponents. He and Swann repeatedly cheated to get ahead, somehow without drawing any attention from the referee.
AJ Francis broke up a pin by throwing one member of Sinner and Saint at the other, before slipping on the apron while tagging in Rich Swann. Swann then hit a frog splash and pinned Williams for the victory to end TNA Xplosion.
