He’s not sure yet. Retirement is a tricky subject for wrestlers, as they might intend to stay out of the ring for good but that might not be the easiest thing to do. Earlier this year, Mick Foley said he was considering a return to the ring next year for a death match for his 60th birthday. However, during a recent Highspots autograph signing, Foley said that while he was considering it, he had not made up his mind. Foley said that he was having trouble losing the weight for the potential match, though he was working out and feeling better. He also made it clear that this was about having fun rather than the money and he would be making a decision at the beginning of 2025.
Foley already has quite the legacy. Check out his time in the ring over the years:
Opinion: I’m almost scared to imagine Foley, who has a history of going more than a bit too far with some of the things that he does in the ring, having one more match. With that being said, there is something very good about him getting into better shape and losing a bunch of weight, so even if the match doesn’t take place, at least there are some benefits. It would be nice to have Foley do something fun, but this might be going a bit too far.
