Toni Storm is thrilled to be part of the upcoming Queen of the Ring movie.

The film is directed by Ash Avildsen and features Canadian actress Emily Bett Rickards as pioneering women’s wrestler Mildred Burke. It tells the WWE Hall of Famer’s story on screen for the first time, with AEW stars Kamille and Toni Storm appearing in the movie as historic wrestlers.

Because of her “Timeless” character, Toni Storm seemed the perfect fit to play a wrestler from the early days. Despite many people not knowing about the story, she is delighted to be a part of honoring a wrestling great.

Toni Storm spoke with Jim Varsallone on the red carpet about the film and how much it meant for her to be a part of it. She called it a pleasure and called Mildred Burke a “pioneer of the business”. Additionally, she is thrilled to see the movie being made about her, due to not enough people knowing about her story.

“It was such a pleasure, it really was. It meant a lot to me because it was about Mildred Burke, who was a pioneer of the business that I’m involved in—the business that I love so much. It’s such an honor; I can’t believe this is happening.

“I’ve never experienced anything like this, to be honest, so I’m a little overwhelmed. I’m going to be honest. It’s a beautiful story. Not a lot of people are aware of how women’s wrestling came to be and the real story behind it. So, you know, I’m excited for people to see it and understand.”

Toni Storm recently topped the PWI’s 250 Women’s list, marking her as the top female in wrestling worldwide. Adding this film credit to her canon will be a huge thing for women’s wrestling.
