Earlier this week reports surfaced that former NWA Women’s World Champion Kamille has inked deal with AEW earlier this year but is yet to make her debut.
During an interview with Josh Martinez on New York’s Z100, Khan was asked to address the swirling rumors. He responded, “I think Kamille is a great wrestler. We followed her very closely. She’s worked with a lot of the top AEW talent. As for her status, I can’t comment on that but I think she’s a tremendous talent and she would be an asset to any wrestling company for sure, including AEW.”
When asked to name the best wrestler on the planet today, Khan stated, “If I may choose from the men’s and the women’s division I would say Swerve Strickland, the AEW World Champion, and Timeless Toni Storm, the AEW Women’s World Champion. They hold the World Titles. There are a lot of World Titles I think the world of like so many great champions.”
He also mentioned Kazuchika Okada, Roderick Strong, Adam Copeland, Jon Moxley, and Bryan Danielson as other formidable wrestlers but highlighted Strickland and Storm for now.
Recently, Becky Lynch appeared on the show and posed a question for Khan to answer. Lynch asked, “What do you want the audience to know about you?”
To which Khan responded, “I would love for people to know that I love pro wrestling and AEW on TBS and TNT every week is a dream come true and every Wednesday night when we put on AEW on TBS and every Friday and Saturday on TNT, this is fulfilling a lifelong dream. Dynamite is a show that I’ve been writing since I was 12 years old in notebooks and always wanted to bring to people.”
Khan elaborated on his goal to deliver memorable moments to fans and ensuring Sting receives the best sendoff possible.
Additionally, Khan discussed AEW Dynamite and the Forbidden Door. He described the “Forbidden Door” as the ideal event to bring to New York City. The show is scheduled to take place at the UBS Arena in Long Island.
