Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Georgiy Sudakov.
The 21-year-old is regarded as one of the finest young prospects in European football and he has attracted the attention of the Premier League club with his performances.
However, the player has a £128 million release clause and it is highly unlikely that any club would agree to pay that much for him. Despite his prodigious talent, he is largely unproven at the highest level and Spurs will hope to sign him for a more reasonable price.
A report from the Mirror claims that Tottenham held talks with his representatives during the midweek. His agent was in London on Wednesday to discuss a potential move.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham follow up on their enquiry with an official proposal in the coming weeks
The 21-year-old is a playmaker who operates in the attacking midfield role as well as in the wide areas. He will add goals and creativity to the Tottenham attack. The player has been likened to the Manchester City star Phil Foden because of stylistic similarities.

Tottenham could certainly use someone like him next season especially with players like Bryan Gil and Giovani Lo Celso expected to move on in the summer.
It remains to be seen whether they can secure an agreement with the Ukrainian outfit over a reasonable fee.
Sudakov will want to test himself at the highest level and the opportunity to play in England can be hard to turn down. Tottenham are a big club and they will be an attractive destination for him. They are pushing for UEFA Champions League qualification and they could provide him with the platform to compete for trophies next year.
