Trick Williams will be involved in the main event of WWE NXT No Mercy.
On the August 27 episode of WWE NXT, Joe Hendry came to the ring and performed a concert. He sang a song about NXT Champion Ethan Page and took some shots at him ahead of their match at NXT No Mercy.
Page interrupted and responded by insulting Hendry, saying that he was not an NXT superstar. NXT General Manager Ava came to the stave that there would be a special referee for their title match, and it was revealed to be Trick Williams. Williams arrived and started heading to the ring. The distraction let Hendry hit Page with a Standing Ovation. Hendry then posed with the title alongside Williams.
