Trish Stratus revealed why she rejected Playboy multiple times.

A number of WWE divas famously kitted off for the Hugh Hefner-ran publication. The famous magazine had stars like Chyna, Maria Kanellis and Sable all posed naked for the magazine, but Trish Stratus is one name that famously did not.

Stratus discussed being offered the chance to appear in Playboy with Kenny McIntosh for Inside The Ropes. She revealed that she turned down their offers multiple times, adding that it’s a bit out of character for her in real life.

The WWE Hall of Famer stated that her goal was to become the greatest female wrestler of all time. Playboy simply did not fit into that plan, so she turned them down each time.

“I just didn’t subscribe to that”

“It just wasn’t honestly my thing,” Trish Stratus said. “This whole sexy thing is not really my thing, believe it or not. They asked me a number of times, and I declined a number of times. This whole sexy thing is not necessarily natural to me. I’m very tomboy. I look back at some of my interviews, and they were like, ‘What’s your favorite lingerie?’ and I’d be like, ‘I wear boxer shorts and a tank top. How about that? You think that’s sexy?’ But some people did.”

“I just didn’t subscribe to that. It wasn’t a natural thing for me. To be honest, the sexy thing was hard enough for me to pull off. I did that, but to be naked, I was like, ‘Oh no, I’m good, thank you.’ At the end of the day, I am here to be a wrestler. I wanted to become the best female wrestler that’s ever existed, and that certainly had nothing to do with being a wrestler. It just didn’t make sense for me in my career path at all to do it.”
