Tsukasa Fujimoto Visits Antonio Inoki’s Grave, Vows To Win The IWGP Women’s Championship

Tsukasa Fujimoto will face Mayu Iwatani for the IWGP Women’s Championship at a future date, and she vows to capture the title.

The Ice Ribbon representative previously visited the late Antonio Inoki‘s graveside at the Sojiji Temple in Tsurumi. With the consent of Inoki’s family, she vowed to Inoki that she will successfully win the IWGP Women’s Championship.

“Long time no see, Inoki-san! I will definitely win the IWGP belt which was founded by Inoki-san,” she says.

Tsukasa Fujimoto previously teamed up with Arisa Nakajima and defeated IWGP Women’s Champion Mayu Iwatani and Hanan at STARDOM Flashing Champions. After the match, Mayu showed her respect to both Tsukasa and Arisa in defeat. She then proceeded to nominate Tsukasa as her next challenger.

While details for their title match has not been announced, Tsukasa wishes for it to be in “her ring.” Though not confirmed, she may be expressing a preference for the match to be contested in an Ice Ribbon ring and show.
