Burna Boy, along with his peers Asake and Rema, fell short of clinching an award at the prestigious Brit Awards, the UK’s highest-profile music ceremony.

Burna Boy and Asake were nominated in the Best International Act of the Year category but were surpassed by American star SZA.

Additionally, Rema’s track ‘Calm Down’ failed to secure the award for Best International Song of the Year, which went to Miley Cyrus’ ‘Flowers.’

This year’s ceremony took place at London’s 02 Arena over the weekend.

Despite the setbacks, Rema delivered a captivating performance of his hit song ‘Calm Down’ to close the ceremony. He joins Burna Boy as the second African artist to grace the BRITs stage, with Burna Boy having performed at the ceremony in 2019.

Meanwhile, Raye has made history by securing the most wins in a single year at the BRITs. She achieved six awards, including Best New Artist, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Best R&B Act, and Songwriter of the Year.
