Donald Trump, the Republican Party’s presidential candidate, has vowed to win the upcoming U.S. presidential election in November.
Speaking at the Republican National Convention on Friday after accepting his nomination, Trump addressed an enthusiastic crowd in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
“I stand before you this evening with a message of confidence, strength, and hope,” Trump declared. “Four months from now, we will have an incredible victory, and we will begin the four greatest years in the history of our country.” He continued, “Together, we will launch a new era of safety, prosperity, and freedom for citizens of every race, religion, color, and creed.”
Recently, Trump survived an assassination attempt during his campaign in Butler, Pennsylvania. A 20-year-old, Mathew Crooks, shot at Trump, scratching his ear, while one person was killed. Crooks was subsequently killed by Secret Service agents.
