Last night was one to forget for FC Barcelona as they were humbled 4-1 by arch-rivals Real Madrid in the finals of the Spanish Super Cup.

Nothing went Barça’s way from the kickoff as they were two goals behind within then minutes, with Vinicius Jr. scoring both goals.

While Robert Lewandowski did pull one back, the Merengues restored their two-goal cushion before half-time, courtesy of Vinicius’ penalty after he was fouled by Ronald Araujo inside the box.

A footage from Movistar has now emerged showing how Barcelona’s ace striker Lewandowski attempted to distract Vinicius in the buildup to the penalty kick.

Once it was confirmed that the VAR would not overturn the decision, and with Vinicius waiting to take the kick, Lewandowski approached the Brazilian to try and unnerve him.

“How are you going to take the penalty?” asked the Pole, which seemingly took the Brazilian by a bit of a surprise, and he responded: “How?”.

Continuing the chat, Lewandowski said: “You”, while Vinicius replied with a “what” before the Barcelona striker walked off after saying: “So take it.”

Lewandowski’s attempts to unsettle the Real Madrid forward did not work though as he beat Inaki Pena and made it 3-1.
