Vince McMahon made headlines back in June 2022 for all the wrong reasons after it was revealed that he secretly paid $3 million in a hush-money scandal. It was all downhill for McMahon, as he was eventually forced to retire from the company he helped build. Things aren’t looking good for him yet again as he was slapped with a sex trafficking lawsuit.

Vince McMahon’s legal woes are far from over now by the looks of it. According to the Wall Street Journal, a woman who received a payout from Vince McMahon has filed a lawsuit accusing McMahon, the company, and a former executive of sex trafficking. Janel Grant, a former employee at WWE’s headquarters, alleges abuse and sexual exploitation by McMahon during his tenure as chief executive.

The woman claims McMahon lured her with promises of career advancement and subsequently exploited and trafficked her to other men within the company. Grant, who signed a nondisclosure agreement in 2022, seeks to void the agreement and unspecified financial damages after McMahon allegedly stopped payments under the deal. McMahon and WWE representatives have not immediately responded to requests for comment.

The lawsuit, filed in a Connecticut federal court, provides a detailed account of Janel Grant’s interactions with Vince McMahon, alleging sexual assault.

Grant claims that on June 15, 2021, McMahon and another WWE executive sexually assaulted her in WWE’s headquarters, and on June 23, 2021, McMahon forced himself on her in his private locker room. The suit includes explicit text messages allegedly sent by McMahon, including one from May 2020 stating, “i’m the only one who owns U and controls who I want to f— U.”

In her lawsuit, Janel Grant alleged that Vince McMahon shared explicit content of her without consent with other WWE employees, unnamed executives, and stars, directing her to engage in sexual activities with them.

The suit referenced a July 2020 text in which McMahon mentioned that others at WWE wanted to have sex with her after seeing photos on his phone. Grant claimed that the company diverted attention from McMahon’s abuse by focusing on the accounting for the payouts. Additionally, she asserted that other individuals at WWE were aware of McMahon’s misconduct but collaborated to conceal it.

In their encounters, McMahon allegedly promised Janel Grant a job at WWE, lavishing her with gifts, and pressuring her into sexual activities in exchange for employment. Grant, employed as an “administrator-coordinator” in WWE’s legal department, expressed concerns about the legitimacy of her position.

However, it was reported that McMahon urged her to keep it quiet. McMahon allegedly sent explicit messages, used sex toys forcefully, and shared explicit content of Grant with other men, causing physical harm.

I’ve left that hotel feeling bad about myself every time,” Grant told McMahon.

Grant’s mental and physical health deteriorated, leading McMahon to send her to a celebrity doctor and cover medical expenses. McMahon also recruited others, including John Laurinaitis, to have sexual encounters with Grant. Laurinaitis is named as a defendant in the suit.
