Vinicius, the beginning of the end

The Brazilian missed the opportunity to tie his future to the club even longer.

His current contract runs until 2027, and after talk of a billion-euro contract offer this summer from Saudi Arabia, Real Madrid have contacted Vinicius’ agents to discuss a new lease for him. However, Relevo notes that although Vinicius thanked them for their interest and listened to their offer, he did not enter into negotiations with Los Blancos.

Vini does not want to extend

Vinicius has a good contract and is in no hurry to start negotiations for a new one, because he “ wait for the best possible moment” to reopen negotiations with Real Madrid. His club were keen to give him the star treatment following the arrival of Kylian Mbappé, and view him as one of the key players in their team.

Given the rumors that Vinicius is mentally at the limit of his abilities at Real Madrid and the persistence of the Saudi Arabia affair, the Whites will undoubtedly monitor the situation very closely. However, from the player’s point of view, it makes much more sense to open negotiations with one or two years remaining on his contract, as he will have more room to maneuver at that time.
