Brazil’s teen sensation Vitor Roque joined Barcelona in January and there has been a lot of impatience surrounding his settling-in period. This has led to speculation concerning the likes of Manchester United.

Roque was linked with a move to Manchester United too, which meant he fell under our radar, but those reports emerged this week along with claims that Roque may already be looking for a temporary move away from Camp Nou.

In recent weeks, the 19-year-old striker has slipped out of Xavi Hernandez’s plans despite his impressive start at the club this year. Reports suggest the pair have not spoken for weeks, with rumours of a breakdown in their relationship.

Barca plucked Roque out of South America and instantly thought they were getting a raw talent like Vinicius Junior. Of course, football doesn’t work out that way and Xavi needs to have patience with the youngster after such a big move.

The option for a loan deal has been suggested, but Roque’s agent Andre Cury has dismissed that idea, and claimed he will ask for a complete sale if the situation does not improve.

“We chose Barcelona because he wanted to play for Barcelona,” Cury said during an interview with RAC1, as per Mundo Deportivo.

“I’m certain Vitor is going to be a great player, but if Barca won’t play him, we have to look at finding a solution.

“A loan for a young boy can be harmful, because he could go to a club that does not own him, and has no interest in taking care of him.

“This is very dangerous for the boy’s career. The best thing is to stay at Barca, but if he can’t stay we will work to get him to leave permanently.”

“The best option would be to stay at Barça and play. But if Barça don’t let him play, we will need to look for another club”, told RAC1. ❗️ pic.twitter.com/qqsGYdzECp

Xavi and Roque will need to sort things out before the end of the season. Barcelona won’t want this dragging into the transfer window, or else they could look to cash in on their latest South American hopeful.
