Elye Wahi should be sold to Frankfurt for a price almost similar to that at which he was bought by OM from Lens last summer.

Unless there is an improbable turnaround in the situation, Elye Wahi will no longer be an Olympique de Marseille player in the coming days. The 22-year-old striker should be recruited by Eintracht Frankfurt for an amount of around 25 million euros.

For many weeks, the leaders of the Marseille club had nevertheless assured that they did not intend to part ways with the former player of Racing Club de Lens. Obviously, they have changed their minds.

“It’s unexpected for OM, judged journalist Daniel Riolo on RMC. Above all, Frankfurt must not listen to us and it must happen, because for OM, it is a blessing. Wahi had a disastrous first part of the season. »

Wahi will not be remembered at OM

On August 13, Elye Wahi left the Racing Club de Lens to commit until 2029 to OM. Since then, his recruitment for 30 million euros, bonus included, has fueled debate. The Franco-Ivorian has only scored three goals since the start of the season, in all competitions.

On social networks, the Olympian number 9 had not been spared from criticism. Marseille supporters seemed much more intransigent towards this player than they could be with others, due to his claimed Parisian “belonging” in 2022.
