In recent months, WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley had mentioned the possibility of having one final match for his 60th birthday in June 2026. However, Foley has since posted a video to his YouTube channel announcing that the match will not be taking place. Foley said that he had been training in the ring and believed he suffered a concussion without realizing it. Citing support from his doctors and his own experience with his doctors, Foley is calling off his last match, saying that if he can get hurt working out without realizing it, it would not be wise to have a full match. Foley’s most recent match was the 2012 Royal Rumble.
That’s a wise move. Check out the announcement, plus some of Foley’s time in the ring:
Opinion: At the end of the day, this is the right choice as Foley already has a long history of serious injuries. He hasn’t wrestled a match in over twelve years and if he is getting hurt with simple training, it isn’t worth the risk. Foley has given fans countless memories and there is no need for him to get back in the ring. Thankfully Foley understands this and can stick with whatever else he wants to do.
What do you think of Foley’s decision? What is the best part of his career? Let us know in the comments below.
