Wes Lee has been enjoying the collaboration between NXT and TNA.
Wes Lee has been a prominent part of the crossover, as he has competed on TNA programming. He has also been feuding with his former tag team partner, TNA’s Zachary Wentz. They will clash in a singles match at NXT No Mercy.
Speaking on The Ringer Wrestling Show, Wes Lee was asked to share his thoughts on WWE working with TNA.
“I’m just like everybody else,” Wes Lee said. “This is something that we never thought was gonna be happening, period. These are two amazing companies that are blending their styles to create a unique product that so many people did not know that they needed. To have the crossover between NXT and TNA has been nothing but beneficial. I got to spend time with my brothers again, which I have not been able to have for four years. I relished in that, I loved it, and it was something that I desperately needed.
“Seeing them click again in this environment helped fuel my fire again in another magical way, but also it kind of put me in another mindset of what’s next for me, and how can I level up beyond what I am already, and how can I apply that level-up?”
Wes Lee: The Rascalz Were In The Wrong Place At The Wrong Time
Wes Lee continued by saying that Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel were at the wrong place at the wrong time. He stated that his anger was going to come out, and they happened to be there.
“It just so happened that they were in the wrong place at the wrong time,” Wes Lee said. “That anger was coming out on somebody. It just so happened that it was them right there. I’m not gonna say that I regret it, I slightly do. But I also know that for me to do it to my own brothers means that nobody should get on my bad side.
“I like to have fun, I like to laugh, I like to joke. I got a pretty decent smile, so I like to show it off, but if you get on my bad side, there’s a lot of darkness inside of this heart that I have. I hide it with my love for everything, but do not get on the dark side.”
