Manchester United are in the market for new full-backs.

Not just on the left flank where the Reds are in desperate need of cover for Luke Shaw, but on the right, since Aaron Wan-Bissaka is expected to leave with just one year left to run on his contract.

According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, West Ham have club and player agreements for Noussair Mazraoui in place, with the proposed transfer advanced but not yet done.

Mazraoui has been linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer, having previously played under Erik ten Hag. We will soon see how serious United are about the Moroccan right-back or if they will let him join West Ham without any hijack attempts.

Ornstein states that United retain an interest in the 26-year-old but West Ham are currently leading the race for his signature.

However, West Ham advancing to sign Mazraoui may come as a double blow for United.

The Hammers have been in talks to sign Wan-Bissaka but this would suggest they are prioritising a deal for Mazraoui, although The Athletic suggests he has turned down the London club due to favouring a move to Inter Milan. And, to make it a double blow for United, West Ham would be essentially signing a target because our hands are tied until Wan-Bissaka is sold.

Ornstein adds that intermediaries are discussing the possibility of a swap deal that would see Wan-Bissaka go to Inter and Denzel Dumfries join United.

The Inter Milan right-back, who plays for the Netherlands, has been linked with a move to Old Trafford ever since Ten Hag became manager.
