Arsenal welcome Newcastle to the Emirates this Saturday, with the match set to kick-off at the unusual time of 8pm.

The Gunners are currently on a run of five consecutive Premier League wins, and they will feel confident of extending that run against the Magpies.

Mikel Arteta's men are locked in a battle with Manchester City and Liverpool for the Premier League title and are starting to play some great stuff, claiming big wins over West Ham and Burnley in consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Eddie Howe's side are unbeaten in the top-flight since a 3-2 defeat to Man City in mid-January and are one of the most prolific teams in the division.

However, they also concede a lot, so we could be in for an entertaining clash in north London when these two meet.

Why is Arsenal vs Newcastle kicking off at 8pm?

This Premier League encounter will get underway at 8pm on Saturday, February 24, because it has been moved for TV selection.

The match was due to kick-off at 3pm, but that has been changed.

TNT Sports have picked the game and haven't put it in their usual 12:30pm slot because the Gunners are in Champions League action in midweek.

Arteta's side travel to face Porto on Wednesday, so need extra time to rest and prepare.

TNT decided last summer that no team that was involved in European competition would take the early slot this season, meaning this time has been selected.

But Newcastle fans now face a long journey to north London on a Saturday evening.

It's a decision that hasn't gone down well with Newcastle fans as Wor Flags unveiled a banner ahead of the Toon's 4-4 draw with Luton earlier this year criticising the decision.

What makes it worse for Magpies supporters is the fact the last train back to Tyneside, which doesn't include a change and a long wait, leaves London at 9pm.

Therefore, Newcastle fans who live in the north east are being forced to find alternative travel arrangements to ensure they make it back.
