The rivalry between Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher will come to a head at AEW Full Gear.
Kyle Fletcher previously turned on Will Ospreay at AEW WrestleDream and cost him the AEW International Championship. He later explained his actions and made it clear that while everyone compared him to Ospreay, he was nothing like him. Fletcher declared that he would surpass Ospreay moving forward.
On the November 13 episode of AEW Dynamite, Will Ospreay came to the ring and called out Fletcher. They went back and forth and traded heated jabs, with Ospreay questioning whether Fletcher was truly nothing like him, or if he was just a clone. Fletcher reiterated his belief that he was better than Ospreay, and he would prove it at AEW Full Gear. He challenged Ospreay to face him at the pay-per-view, and Ospreay accepted.
Ospreay then told Fletcher that he would make him pay for the damage that he had done to him. He recalled how the Tiger Driver Fletcher hid him with took away the feeling in his hand, so much so that he could not feel it when his son held his hand. Fletcher’s Don Callis Family stablemates came out, prepared to gang up on Ospreay, but Powerhouse Hobbs and Mark Davis made the save, and the two teams brawled.
