Willow Nightingale is taking her talents outside the ring to promote the upcoming AEW Dynamite taping in Chicago.

The former TBS Champion is getting ready for a huge match-up this Wednesday. After picking up a victory alongside Tam Nakano at Forbidden Door on Sunday, she is set to face off with rival Kris Statlander on Dynamite. The winner will advance in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, with a title match at Wembley Stadium on the line for the winner.

However, before she faces Statlander, Willow Nightingale was out promoting the upcoming show. While appearing on Chicago’s WGN, the AEW star was challenged by a news writer looking for a scrap. This was shown in a clip posted to their Twitter account.

The “Nacho Libre”-esque writer came down the stairs to challenge Willow Nightingale to fight. However, he was quickly hoisted onto her shoulders and into an airplane spin, much to the delight of local anchors.

Legendary news anchor Larry Potash even joined in on the fun. He laid in some iffy looking kicks vaguely near the downed writer. Willow Nightingale tried to get him to do a Chris Jericho-style pin on him, but he merely counted to three and hit another stomp.

Willow Nightingale ended by pinning the prone opponent, adding even more excitement to tonight’s AEW Beach Break from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, IL.

The WGM Morning News Twitter account posted “All Elite Wrestling’s Willow Nightingale and Larry Potash take down WGN newswriter”, with an accompanying video.
