Tim Tebow first made a name for himself when he played for the Denver Broncos in 2010. He played a couple of seasons for the Broncos before moving on to the New York Jets for a season.
Following his sting with the Jets, Tebow played for the New England Patriots in 2013. However, he played for them on their offseason squad and was soon cut from the team. While his NFL career didn’t get off to the start he wanted, it looks like he was close to switching careers in 2013.
During recent episode of the Pat McAfee Show, Nick Khan revealed that Triple H was interested in having Tim Tebow wrestle the Big Show at WrestleMania 30. They even had a secret meeting with Vince McMahon but the idea was dropped.
“Paul Levesque, the King of Kings, Triple H, he’s the one who introduced me to WWE,” Khan said. “Paul had called me—unsolicited call, and this is when Tim Tebow had just gotten cut by the Patriots. He said, ‘What do you think of Tim Tebow against The Big Show at (WrestleMania XXX)? Ultimately it didn’t happen, but Triple H and I remained in touch,” Khan said.
One can only imagine what would’ve been had WWE signed Tebow to a deal back in 2013.
