The 2024 WWE Draft began last week on Friday Night SmackDown and continued on Monday Night RAW, with more draft picks announced. Several NXT talents were called up to the main roster, but it seems some NXT wrestlers were relieved they weren’t selected for a main roster call up.

Many people considered Monday’s draft the more significant of the two nights, with more stars called up and assigned to different brands. Among the NXT talent selected were notable names like Ilja Dragunov, Carmelo Hayes, Blair Davenport, and others, since it was clear WWE has big plans for them.

According to Fightful Select, many NXT talents who were not drafted during the recent WWE Draft felt a sense of relief about staying in NXT. They were glad not to be suddenly thrust into the more intense environment of the main roster.

”Amongst the talent we spoke to that remained in NXT after the Draft, there was a sense of relief about not being thrown into the deep end on the main roster.”

We have also reported WWE’s additional plans following the Draft and many Superstars were told about their change in brands few days beforehand. We’ll have to wait and see how all of the main roster call ups will perform in the coming months.

Who do you feel will see the most benefit on the main roster after being called up? Let us know in the comments section below!
