Jimmy and Jey Uso have been feuding since Jimmy Uso betrayed Jey at SummerSlam last year. Even on RAW this week, Jimmy ended up costing Jey Uso a big title match. With that said, it appears WWE might have made a last-minute change to Jey Uso’s title match.

As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Jey Uso challenged Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship. As the match neared its conclusion, Uso executed 5 spears on Gunther and followed up with the Uso splash.

Closing in on victory, Jimmy Uso, provided distraction by appearing ringside and continuously ringing the bell. The ensuing chaos provided Gunther with the opportunity to regroup, capitalize, and secure the win, retaining his title.

According to Wrestle Votes on Twitter, it was reported that many in WWE were under the impression Jey Uso was winning the Title on RAW. It was added that as late as 6 pm, that was the direction on various show rundowns within the creative and digital departments.

”Hearing an interesting story we hope to follow up on with more tomorrow… source states there were multiple people within the company under the impression Jey Uso was winning the IC title tonight on RAW.”

”I’m told that as late as 6pm, this was the direction on various show rundowns within the creative and digital departments.”

We have already reported what Jey Uso’s WrestleMania 40 plans are and WWE has already set the stage for the bout. Nevertheless, WWE decided to keep Gunther as the Intercontinental Champion, something that fans feel was the right decision.
