WWE SmackDown Viewership Decreases On 4/12, Still Ranks First On Cable

WWE SmackDown‘s viewership decreased on April 12.

Per Programming Inside via Wrestlenomics, 2.499 million viewers watched the show on Friday night, which is down from last week, when 2.603 million viewers tuned in.

In the 18 to 49 demographic, SmackDown drew a 0.76 rating. This is also down from last week (0.8 rating in the same demographic). SmackDown was #1 on broadcast primetime in the demographic on Friday.

What happened on WWE SmackDown this week?

This week’s show kicked off with a promo from Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.

Solo Sikoa seemingly took over The Bloodline and became the new Tribal Chief by kicking out Jimmy Uso and replacing him with the debuting Tama Tonga.

Noami defeated Tiffany Stratton to earn a shot at Bayley’s WWE Women’s Championship next week.

The main event saw AJ Styles defeat Rey Mysterio and Kevin Owens in a triple threat match. Styles will face LA Knight, who won his triple threat match earlier in the evening in a rematch from WrestleMania 40 next week. The winner will face Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Backlash.
