Andrade’s next challenger for the WWE Speed Championship has been determined.
The latest Number One Contender’s Tournament continued on the August 28th episode of WWE Speed. After defeating Julius Creed and Joaquin Wilde in recent weeks, Pete Dunne beat Je’Von Evans in the semifinals on Wednesday. In doing so, he punched his ticket to Friday’s show, where he will challenge Andrade for the gold.
Dunne then commented on his win and said “The Bruiserweight” was back.
Dunne has been on a remarkable run in recent weeks. He has advanced to the finals of the Number One Contender’s Tournament for the WWE Intercontinental Championship on WWE RAW. Meanwhile, he continues to feud with Trick Williams on NXT. He is set to face the former champion on the September 3 episode of NXT.
