The 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has leveled accusations against President Bola Tinubu’s administration, alleging a pattern of disregarding transparency issues.
Atiku asserted that Tinubu’s government consistently overlooks matters of due process in public administration.
Taking to X, the former Vice President highlighted the unresolved $3.3 billion NNPCL loan as evidence of corruption within Tinubu’s administration.
According to Atiku, “The current federal government has a disgraceful track record of ignoring issues of transparency and due process in public administration.”
He continued, “The unresolved $3.3 billion NNPCL loan repayment scandal, with Nigeria now expected to repay $12 billion, remains a glaring example.”
Atiku emphasized the imperative for Tinubu’s administration to address such high-profile corruption cases transparently.
He also called upon the National Assembly, as representatives of the people, to fulfill their constitutional duty of legislating for the peace, order, and good governance of the nation without aligning with corrupt entities.
Atiku warned, “Failure to do so and persisting in denial will only confirm the government’s complicity in official malpractice. -AA”
