AEW Collision Scores Highest Viewership Since July 2023 With NBA Lead-In

AEW Collision viewership increased on April 27.

Per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, AEW Collision drew 621,000 viewers on Saturday, which marks its highest number since July 2023. The show had a strong lead-in from the NBA playoff game between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat. The April 20 episode of Collision drew 461,000 viewers.

In the 18 to 49 demographic, Collision scored a 0.21 rating, which is also up from last week (0.13 rating). Meltzer wrote that the first ten minutes of Collision scored a 0.49 rating with the NBA lead-in.

Collision did 621K/0.21 boosted greatly by the Celtics game. Very strong first 25 minutes in particular but way above normal for first 68 minutes. Rampage 292K/0.09. Competition was of course very stiff with NBA & NHL playoffs. Collision number is good of course, but we…

The April 27 episode of AEW Collision featured Swerve Strickland’s first promo since winning the AEW World Championship, as well as a medical update on Tony Khan. Strickland also defended the world title against Claudio Castagnoli. Additionally, AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm faced Anna Jay, and The Acclaimed battled the Grizzled Young Vets.
