Atlético de Madrid have just announced the arrival of a new goalkeeper in their first team. This is the Romanian goalkeeper Horatiu Moldovan (26 years old), signing with the Colchoneros until June 2027 from Rapid Bucharest, with whom he recorded 10 clean sheets this season (23 matches played TCC, 25 goals cashed). A new understudy for the usual holder Jan Oblak, who replaces the former Lille player Ivo Grbic, who has not played a single match this season and who will join Sheffield United.
“Horațiu Moldovan (January 20, 1998, Cluj-Napoca, Romania) is a new player of Atlético de Madrid after the agreement reached with Rapid Bucharest for the transfer of the goalkeeper to our club, for which he signed until at the end of the season and for three additional seasons (…). The Romanian international underwent the medical examination at the Vithas Madrid Arturo Soria University Hospital and then went to the club’s offices in the Cívitas Metropolitano, where he was received by our CEO, Miguel Ángel Gil, to sign his contract with our club”we can read in the Madrid press release.
